Stanford’s Restaurant & Bar, 12200 N. Parker Ave., on Jantzen Beach, is temporarily closing, according to Ascend Hospitality Group President and CEO Elaina Morris.

“Due to recent incidents, we have decided to temporarily close Stanford’s Jantzen Beach to ensure the safety and security of our guests and our team,” Morris wrote in an email to The Columbian. “We appreciate the support of the Jantzen Beach and Hayden Island communities during this time, and invite everyone to visit us at our Clackamas and Tanasbourne Stanford’s locations.”

Ascend Hospitality Group, the owner of Stanford’s, did not elaborate on the specific cause for the closure or when or if the restaurant will reopen.

The Jantzen Beach Cracker Barrel permanently closed in early August for similar reasons: safety concerns, including theft and threatening behavior from people.
